About the Project
This website was originally launched in 2019 as part of the project titled Innovation in Teaching English: Fostering IT Skills and Entrepreneurial Potential among Students. The initiative was implemented under the framework of Development of Higher Education and funded by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia.
The acronym ENGLIT was initially coined to reflect the project’s core objective: integrating Information Technology into English language learning. Yet, the term’s broader academic resonance—commonly used worldwide to denote courses in English Language and Literature—offered a compelling duality we chose to embrace. This deliberate ambiguity allowed us to expand the site beyond language instruction, weaving in literature sections, academic writing tutorials, reflective blogs, and more.
Over time, ENGLIT has evolved into a dynamic, creative, and intellectually fertile cyberspace—frequented not only by students but by a growing community of curious minds. We are particularly encouraged by its organic development into a hub for interactive learning, dialogue, and collaborative exploration.
Looking ahead, the platform will continue to serve as a base for future research initiatives, pedagogical experimentation, and interdisciplinary outreach. We welcome your participation—whether as a learner, contributor, or collaborator—as we shape the next phase of EngLit together.
